We traveled to Piddig, Ilocos Norte from Sarrat, Ilocos Norte in the famous place called Sunflower Farm. It is a cloudy day because it is almost the end of summer. The first week of June is near which is a rainy season again in our country. The travel is almost one hour and may add up to 15minutes from Laoag Centro to Sarrat. This Flower farm reminds me of the popular tourist spot in the part of UAE, Abu Dhabi -especially the row of flower ornament heart-shapes. It is very heartwarming for a family picture taking and of course, it is a sweet, romantic for couple selfies. They also have a coffee roasting factory but I didn't have a chance to take pictures of it, those are exclusively sale in the farm.
They are not for sale online either. They told me that their coffee bean comes from the mountainous area of "Carasi" that's why it's kinda expensive, it costs 260php/250grams. Best to visit here on the month of December til the second week of May.

We had our family dinner in Hotchicks Sushi Shop here in our Province of Ilocos Nortem located along General Luna, Laoag City near Museo. It's cozy and clean. Eat-all-you-can for only 299 with different kinds of dish like Filipino, Japanese and Korean - especially unlimited samgyeopsal. It was a 9pm last order. I'm a Korean dish addict so I recommend this to everyone. Feel the Korean Ambiance!

Strolling in University Belt Area with my son during his admission for freshman in University of Santo Tomas, preparing him to recognize streets because it is his first time and will stay here in Manila on his own. We ate dinner at SM Tayuman food court, @mrkimbopph - a Korean dish. At last, I was able to taste their famous tteokbokki as seen in Korean novelas and it's like a "mother & son dinner date".  I definitely recommend this! The taste is so authentic and I like the spiciness level, it would not hurt your tastebuds and the best! It's affordable but it's a first class.

I & my son, aged 18, had checked-in to Skyloft Hotel along Lacson Avenue, near McDonald's to the right when facing it and just across UST. The interior is very clean and "maaliwalas". I kinda like the kitchenette, a personal ref and microwave. There's no water dispenser for your hot water to pour in your cup noodles but you may take off the lid, add ingredients and water ( bring your own water) then reheat in the microwave then when it turns off, wait until three minutes to further cook the noodles. The comfort room is wide enough, hot and cold shower, LED mirror and a digital bidet toilet bowl kinda cute but I'd like the manual thing pa rin. I would say over-all is nice but beware of the busy street and most of all, it's like a University Condotel. Here are some pictures.

MACARONS....a brief history that I've read, is actually an Italian dessert. I heard someone asking French Macarons and it feels like awkward to think if there are any other names when you simply know where it is originated...what I know is that you can give unique names entitled to your own in whatever recipes but you can't break and still respect the authenticity of the recipe that you are making. Uhm...they called French Macarons when the chef who invented it brought to France. And of course, it was exported so it made more successfully famous. For me, the most difficult dessert that I tried to make is this one...I was really amused that with simple ingredients, it would make you feel exhausting instead of feeling the greatness of what hobby is about. I salute to the chef, no wonder this dessert is so lavishly luxurious. It's a funny experience for me because as I look at it, it was just a homebaked, a not so extraordinary as the other dessert does such crinkles and cookies. After trying right...If you're a mom, you'll be reminded of your child/children...I  fully understand what these cute, little macarons really meant - extremely intense but surprisingly an ultra-fragile.

We recently picked-up our new passport through DFA Robinsons mall Ilocos Norte last January 23, 2019. It is located in the old Robinsons Building, 2nd floor just turn right when you take the escalator and go straight, just beside the Handyman (same thing if you took an elevator).  My son was so excited about it especially when we planned and decided to give him a surprise birthday gift, and that is a tour package in Dubai, where his dad is working as an OFW. Finally, he has a chance to visit him although he will take his vacation here this year and of course, he is happy to tour for the first time abroad with his Daddy at a young age. Back to application of passport in our province, DFA Robinsons mall San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte. You have to complete the requirements before getting inside to their office. I must say that the requirements for adult is so ordinary to you, I will just comment here regarding to the parents who want to apply their child's passport. From what I observed, since it has recently opened and had just established a strict implementation this month regarding the requirements, dress code and processing. To those who did passporting before, children does'nt need an Identification Card or ID, it was just a Birth Certificate and nothing else but it does still need to attend for Appearance. Walk-in applicants can only enter and wish to get form personally, may use the benefit of what they call "COURTESY LANE". No one can enter if you are not pregnant, senior citizens, a single parent and children age 7 years below. If you are not qualified to use the courtesy lane, you must apply via online and also children age 8 years old and above. The flaws when you're applying online without inquiring to the dfa and if you are just going there for passport renewal, you might get confused since the online form is kinda tricky ( forms online is the same to the form you get on the courtesy lane) Here's will notice a box in the upper part of the form and as you know maybe b'coz you applied so many times before, you might think that it is for the requirement only, the box just indicates as a checklist. And if you are in a rush what you might get or perceived is the requirements for adults and children are the's a history I guess. The mere fact that when you take a look at the personal details of your child, the school is not indicated or mentioned. Well, you know not all students have an ID. The ID was only indicated below after the boxes that you are going to check which is the processing or the actual procedure meaning when you are in the office. That's it! It's really hassling when you read online with so many paragraphs and there you'll find bring necessary documents original and photocopy and then "Bring ID, if applicable". Applicants must wear proper dress code, no slippers, sando or sleeveless, short pants or mini skirts. Just wear clothes that make you look decently. Well, before, no round or v-neck shirts but now you can actually wear them and even sandals but not like flip-flops. If you have seen the available time online which is from 7am until 9pm...uhm that...I don't know if it applies there because if we go for malling I observed that no one is assisting there around 4 pm (well it goes the same in dfa manila). I think it's safer to follow the right time like in regular working hours in the government.
For releasing section, My son & I had applied for a "group application" so we had no problem about it, passport came exactly at the said release date but when I checked on their facebook page, I had read that delivery had caused delay I just don't know if they applied for a "single application" or group. And take note for the time of Releasing of Passport...The parent will be the only authorized one for getting the passport of your child, no proxies and since my son has an ID ( and there applied the "Bring ID, if Applicable) you need to bring it. The guard said that the authorized person needs to present his/her ID plus the ID of the child. I think it's ok if you don't bring your child anymore. But what about the children without ID, oh no! he wasn't able to tell me...but the personnel inside the passporting area did not tell me that the child needs for appearance. Just bring the printed receipt with the stamped released date on it because it is also required. And there you go...happy trip! Let's just wait for further improvement since it is still new but I'm happy about their service and want this to recommend. I hope readers could pass by here and thanks for reading. I hope,it helped.

February month saying "Love is in the Air". Try these themed cakes for this valentines day. I made a personalized pastry and cakes for someone you love. There are few to choose from. All baked with a heart. It's a very special and meaningful day for me because I had just opened a homebased cakeshop so it's a double celebration - Valentine and an Anniversary month, yippee to that. I called my shop - "Up Late Confections by M.A.R.L.O.N. "(@uplateconfections), a random acronym for the names of my 3 children... a.k.a. @yahneespastriesandsupplies since october last year 2018 (it was started as a hobby when I created my page on facebook though it is already an authentic business name). Yeah, the goal is not fully met, I'm not there yet but hopefully...someday, won't just stay as a dream.

I made a simple Kick Buttowski themed cake on his 9th birthday...this 10-year-old cartoon character made me remind of him as bold, adventurous, courageous, brave. A short boy but with a big heart. It's a nice tv cartoon show not only recommended for intermediate students but also in primary schoolers. It has a thrilling context but not bad and violent. And most of all, he's the cutest toon character that matched his age. Again, "Happy Birthday Babykoh!" Love you so much...mwah-mwah-mwah!
